Beyond Reclamation is an initiative developed by PT ABN in 2025 to advance post-mining land restoration through an ecologically focused and sustainability-driven approach. The program prioritizes the planting of native pioneer species as an initial step toward re-establishing vegetation cover, improving soil conditions, and creating a more suitable environment for ecosystem development.

 

The Beyond Reclamation approach recognizes that land restoration extends beyond simply replanting vegetation. It involves restoring ecological conditions that facilitate natural plant regeneration and support diverse organisms. Accordingly, planting activities are complemented by ongoing maintenance and monitoring to assess plant growth and changes in environmental conditions.
